We are looking for a full-time accountant to join our team. Someone who is good with numbers and has excellent administrative skills. We are looking for a team player with a flexible personality who can assist us with various accounting and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities include:
• Daily reconciliations and journal postings
• Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Xero Accounting management – invoice posting, organising payment etc to ensure accounts are always up to date for quarterly BAS and annual returns
• Email and calendar management
• Assisting the Directors and supervisors with other ad-hoc tasks from time to time
Required Attributes:
• Dependable, reliable, and honest – if you are not honest even a little bit, you will not last
• High attention to detail – Even a small mistake can cost millions of dollars
• Focussed and able to meet deadlines
• Fluency in written English and excellent writing skills
• Proactive, flexible, and organised
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
• Excellent work ethic
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
• Accounting or Business-related university degree qualification
• At least 1 year of experience working in a corporate environment
• Basic understanding of Accounting
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills
• Experience in or willingness to learn the Xero accounting system
• Reliable and high-speed internet connection
• Laptop or desktop (i5 or higher) with two monitors
• Comfortable work-from-home setup
• Available to work 10:00 am to 6:30 pm Australian time. You may be required to work additional hours from time to time based on the needs of the business
