Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
– Daily Trade Matching – comparing the company trade files to what the brokers have each day
– Daily positions and cash reconciliation with brokers
– Xero Accounting Management – perform invoice posting, reconciliation, organizing payments, payroll, etc. to ensure accounts are always up to date for quarterly BAS and annual returns
– Daily journal postings ensuring all transactions are correct
– Minimize spending by ensuring all insurances are the best available in the market and negotiate better pricing with suppliers
– Helping out with investor relations-related and accounting related ad hoc tasks
To be successful in this role, ideally, you should have:
– 1 to 2 years of working experience in a corporate environment
– Understanding of Accounting and Bookkeeping – able to perform month-end reporting, journal entry, AP and AR
– Experience in using Xero Accounting System (or willing to learn it)
– Intermediate to Advanced Excel user and able to use pivot tables, v-lookups and maybe even develop basic macros to automate functions in Excel
– Access to reliable and high-speed internet
– Available during Sydney working hours full time (9-5 at least). Occasionally, there could be some urgent ad-hoc tasks that may need to be completed and require longer hours. If you are a clock-watcher – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!
