We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Representative to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Representative will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring goods and services from vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a keen eye for cost-effective procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor and Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with existing vendors and suppliers, and identify potential new suppliers to expand the supplier network.
2. Catalog Review: Review catalogs and product listings from suppliers to identify items that meet quality and cost criteria.
3. Price Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable agreements and cost savings.
4. Purchase Order Creation: Generate and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
5. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure purchased goods and services meet the required quality standards.
6. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
7. Cost Analysis: Analyze and report on cost trends, market conditions, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
8. Supplier Performance Evaluation: Assess supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness, and work on continuous improvement.
9. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
– High School Diploma
– Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role is a plus but not required (Open to fresh graduates)
– Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
– Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
