We are seeking an experienced Art Director who will lead a small creative team to develop and execute a variety of on-brand visual designs and media creation projects for our various product lines.
The Art Director will be responsible for bringing the creative vision of each brand to life, developing and maintaining the brand identity, and overseeing the design and execution of all visual assets.
You will also have deep knowledge and interest in the best practices across social platforms as well as produce engaging content in different formats including static images, video, CAD, and print.
Projects will range from website design, lifestyle photography, product videos, catalog updates, pitch decks, social media graphics, packaging design, and more.

Key responsibilities:
– Organize, plan, and oversee the production of photos, videos, digital graphics, print materials, and other creative assets.
– Work with the Marketing team to conceptualize campaign vision, utilizing original graphics, copy, website content, social media, and other marketing materials.
– Develop creative briefs based on ideas from brainstorming sessions, with direction, schedules, and deliverables for the creative team
– Review and approve all creative materials, ensuring alignment with the messaging, tone, and style guidelines while achieving marketing objectives.
– Obtain team approval of final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations; encourage members to provide feedback; and respond to internal commentary and requests
– Oversee presentation of final concepts and coordinate production and dissemination for cross-organizational use
– Update, organize, and maintain the brand guidelines, templates, and assets.
– Organize, manage, and maintain a comprehensive digital asset library.
– Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of creative team members and external content creators as needed.
– Ensure the team adheres to current processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and proposes improvements to support design operations.
Software/Tools:
– Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc
– Creative collaboration software – we use
– Project Management software – we use ClickUp
– AI tools such as ChatGPT, JasperAI, Midjourney, and others
Skillset:
– Expert in principles of design, UX design, typography, color theory, and composition with a focus on digital media.
– Extremely strong creative project management skills, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
– Strong creative vision with attention to business objectives
– Responsible, accountable, collaborative, and proactive.
– Adaptable and flexible to design for a variety of styles, customer personas, and media formats.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Experience:
– Experience in a senior-level design or art direction role, preferably within a creative agency or in-house design team.
– Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field (is a plus).

– You have not managed a team of 3-5+ design staff/contractors
