An Asset Finance Analyst in real estate is a professional who combines their expertise in finance to oversee and optimize investments for Massive Capital investors. They can analyze the risks and opportunities of real estate investments to determine when to buy or sell assets. They should also understand and execute business strategy, yearly budget, quarterly appraisal and monthly performance. They act as leaders/Coaches for the property management company to deliver asset’s business plan.
We are looking for a Finance Analyst that has a strong background in team management, financial analysis, strong P&L management and maximizing the value of multi-unit residential properties. This position requires strong oversite, improving current processes, and creating efficiencies while identifying opportunities for improved performance. This person will actively be hands-on with management strategies by increasing occupancy and maximizing cash flow projections while achieving short and long-term goals. For this role, the Asset Manager will consistently communicate and follow up with other cross-functional teams including acquisition, property management, construction, risk, tax consultants, accounting, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
-Responsible for managing investor relationships ensuring that investor communication delivered by appropriate team members in a timely manner. (Monthly Investor Deck by 20th and K1 by March)
-Communicate with third party property management, as well as appraisers, brokers, insurance and real estate tax consultants and other third-party providers.
-Coordinate and facilitate lender compliance with third party property manager regarding monthly reporting, adhering to debt covenants, providing financial information, and monitoring the release of escrow accounts.
Team management:
-Responsible for managing property management teams and be responsible for development of junior staff to manage all properties efficiently.
-Responsible for providing detailed and constructive feedback to property management team throughout the year and outline business execution plan whenever needed.
-Responsible to create a culture of speed by empowering others while validating their work.
-Manage the takeover of new assets and ensure a successful transition into the portfolio.
-Develop and follow Audit Schedule, keep documentation of Audits for key items in conjunction with Management Team.
-Responsible for managing 5-6 Finance analysts
Finance:
-Responsible for the financial management and overall profitability of the property
-Responsible for preparing budgets, maintaining efficiency and billing on a timely basis.
-Works closely with partners and Property Managers to provide leadership guidance and direction and oversight of business plans, budgets, and forecasting.
-Respond to analysis and information by spending time and stay ahead of Property Management company by using BI platforms.
-Lead weekly analytics calls and participate/cover additional communities with a very set agenda.
-Lead Capex billing/invoicing process for projects
Asset management:
-Implement portfolio/property level operating strategies.
-Analyze operating performance and identify opportunities to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
-Manage cash flow, distribution analysis, and investment projections.
-Identify and evaluate high ROI capital investment opportunities that generate significant growth in asset values.
-Coordinate/review, present, and execute comprehensive annual business plans and budgets.
-Review and analyze weekly and monthly property leasing and operating reports.
-Prepare Quarterly Reports and Financial statements.
-Assist in the review of valuation models and take part in the acquisition and disposition process, supporting due diligence efforts for select investments.
-Act as a point expert in each market where properties are assigned, with a strong knowledge of competitive apartment communities, the development pipeline and other economic drivers that could impact asset performance.
-Maximize total return for each assigned apartment property through the analysis of financial and operational reports including property valuations, cash flow projections, and identifying opportunities for improvements.
-Virtually Attends and participates in industry association meetings and seminars to keep up to date on trends and changing conditions in the marketplace.
This role has high exposure to C level team and will directly report to Finance Portfolio Manager

We will evaluate Analyst roles every 24-36 month to add on more responsibilities
Ideal candidate will be expected to grow along side the company
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors’ degree preferred.
Very strong corporate background with continuous progress.
Ownership of P&L in corporate structure for P&L (Preferably FP&A Manager role for larger portfolio)
Requires minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Corporate Finance.
Language Skills:
Proficiency in reading and writing in the English language.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, investors, customers, and the general public.
Special Skills:
Requires strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize wisely.
Requires good understanding of sales and marketing concepts and the ability to develop, implement and evaluate market plans.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Yardi or similar software
This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits, based on a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with flexibility in working hours.
