Assistant (German and English) for Art Production Studio

Dear Applicant,
My collaborators and I aim to offer amazing experiences to our audiences, using puppets, and physical performance like dance and mime. We value playfulness, beauty, and wonder about the world. We are interested in the complex developments in human culture, the “meta-crisis”, and seek unconventional ways to contribute to a better world.
As a professional artist collaborating in multiple projects I have many tasks to delegate. Your skills would free up my time and attention for making more great art. As a father of two, with a busy wife, I need a rockstar Production Team!
I communicate with Germans, English speakers, and Dutch people. I’m from NL myself, I live in Germany, and grew up on english-spoken media. You as an assistant have to be proficient at least in German and English, to handle email and other tasks.
My strength is to focus deeply on making things with my hands, developing awesome performances and performing those. I need someone who is great at taking on the many necessary tasks to bring our projects forward, so the limited work time I have can be spent focusing in my studio.
As an assistant you will help me with many tasks like project planning, event scheduling, listing artworks online for sale, helping me get things done by structuring my calendar and todo-list, setting appointments, and the like. I will gladly train you to do these things, you won’t have to be able to do everything perfect from the get-go. As long as you are willing to learn and have a talent for organising, communicating and executing projects, you should do fine. We’ll get you started

Should you be proficient in the Dutch language, do let me know, it would be very useful. But I realise it’s probably rare. Your English and German skills have priority.
We’ll start at 20 hours weekly. Once that relieves my workload, we’ll expand your responsibilities based on your talents and skills. I’m happy to train you where I can and support you in developing your skillset. As you help us generate more income, your hours and wage will expand.
