Job Description:

The Assistant Production Designer position is an entry-level role, working in a team approach with the Production Team and Design Team on a variety of projects and assignments, focusing on layout design and type-setting, production and file set-up for products, and creating image assets. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, detail oriented and highly motivated individual who combines technical and creative skills to help create and produce our personalized products. Must have the ability to juggle multiple projects and manage the many facets of the book production process from concept to final file production. This position reports directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

Finalize production on I See Me! products including copy setting, layout design, file prep, file set-up, color correction, font adjustments, export PDF files, etc.
Develop a strong working knowledge of all the types of personalization that I See Me incorporates into their books and become knowledgeable and confident in the file set-up and personalized production process
Work with production team creating image assets of I See Me! product line and help maintain image library (organizational skills are important). Create hi-res and lo-res images of our books and ancillary products according to our specs and naming requirements
Assist in organizing image library and carrying out naming (including new and previous products).
Production work and file exporting on products when being translated to other countries (French, UK, Spanish, etc…) Work with translated manuscripts updating current text and updating art and layouts where needed
Collaborate with in-house design team to produce visually compelling personalized books and products, book covers as well as presentation and marketing materials as needed.
Think creatively to develop new ideas and concepts for personalized books and products and pursue ways to streamline the production process
Independently keep track of multiple deadlines and timing on projects
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, latest design trends, innovation and design tools
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Proven proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with core competencies in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator a must, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs
Portfolio showcasing your production and design skills with a focus on production and file set-up
Detail-oriented, very organized, adept at identifying problems and finding solutions and
Possess strong conceptual skills and problem-solving skills
Maintain high standards of quality within the design and production process to keep our high level of product quality
Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing schedules, and work under tight time constraints to meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Produce clean, accurate, and streamlined files that meet all production standards
Strong understanding of page layout and typesetting along with detailed file set-up
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the creative team environment

Work from Home Requirements:

Own computer (Windows 10 or higher, at least 8GB RAM and at least Intel i5 or Ryzen 5 processor)

START DATE: Immediately

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Central Standard Time

Fulltime (40 hours per week) — Long-term and Fully Remote

RATE: Php 288.46- Php 346.15 per hour
