Overview:
Labor Law PC, a California-based employment law firm, is growing and seeks a diligent and proficient Associate Attorney based in the Philippines. Our practice is committed to advocating for employee rights and fostering a fair work environment. The selected candidate will play an integral role in our cases, providing support from their inception through the preparation for trial.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and management of cases from onset through the pre-trial phase.
Conduct legal research, draft briefs, motions, and pleadings.
Communicate effectively with clients, gathering case-related information with sensitivity and discretion.
Collaborate with our California-based attorneys to strategize for case progression.
Review and organize discovery documents.
Ensure compliance with all deadlines and requirements.
Attend virtual meetings and, if necessary, assist in trial preparation activities.
Requirements:
J.D. from a recognized university, preferably with knowledge or experience in U.S. or California law.
Critical thinking skills with the ability to approach legal challenges innovatively and strategically.
Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Exceptional fluency in English, with both writing and speaking, is mandatory.
Proven track record of managing multiple priorities with a high degree of organization.
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Active listening and empathetic understanding to handle client communications with care and professionalism.
