Job Overview:

The Associate Buyer plays a crucial role in supporting our American operations by assisting our buyers in procurement and purchasing activities. This position ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of products and/or services as per the company’s needs, ensuring smooth business operations in both the Philippines and U.S. markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing:
Collaborate with buyers to understand product/service needs and specifications.
Source suppliers and vendors locally and internationally, as required.
Obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers, ensuring they meet the company’s needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.

Order Management:
Place purchase orders after verifying and validating all details.
Track and expedite orders as necessary, ensuring timely deliveries.
Coordinate with suppliers for any modifications or changes in orders.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in invoices or deliveries.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery. Provide feedback and recommendations to senior buyers.

Collaboration & Communication:
Maintain regular communication with the U.S. buying team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, inventory management, and finance, to ensure seamless operations.
Present findings, reports, and recommendations to the senior buying team.

Market Analysis:
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and supplier innovations.
Update buying team about any local market changes that may impact product availability, costs, or lead times.

Continuous Improvement:
Recommend process improvements to streamline and improve purchasing operations.
Attend relevant training and workshops to enhance professional growth and stay updated with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
Strong understanding of the U.S. and China markets and business cultures.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficient in using purchasing and inventory management software.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Working Conditions:
Graveyard shift a requirement
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zones.
Office environment with frequent use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.
