AU Accountant w/ AU Taxation Experience

What You Will Do:

As an Accountant joining our team, you will be required to work independently and remotely attending to the tax compliance needs of CPTB’s clients. The main responsibilities of this role will include:

Process and complete annual financial statements
Prepare income tax returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Send documents for Signatures and File tax returns
Assisting with the payroll services
Assisting the bookkeeping & quarterly reporting
Assist with preparing Tax Planning Figures and Analysis
Setting up tax return jobs / Collating tax return jobs
Assisting with the Tax agent portal mail
Assisting with the ATO client correspondence and queries
Communicating and responding to ATO notices Tax research, staying up to date on tax law changes and anticipation of new tax law changes

Qualifications:

At least two (2) to four (4) years of experience as an offshore accountant with an Australian accounting firm
Experience in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, Handisoft or equivalent Australian tax compliance software
Knowledge and experience with more advanced Australian tax concepts like Div7A, UPE, and completion of tax compliance work for large family groups with multiple entities
Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian staff and clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
Ability to work independently and effectively without strict supervision

What We Offer:
