Job Description

We’re searching for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The accounts receivable specialist will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.

We service the entire APAC region from our offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Responsibilities:
– Daily entry of bank transactions into the systems for bank reconciliations.
– Handles the regular follow up and call-outs of all accounts unpaid.
– Monitors all invoices raised and coordinates with other teams for any invoice concerns and/or invoice revisions.
– Reviews status of accounts and communicates with clients to ensure timely collection of payment in accordance with credit policies.
– Reviews accounts daily and initiates internal communication to the appropriate personnel on billing, payment, and collection issues.
– Participates in monthly and as-needed meetings with Managing Director and Finance teams regarding collection efforts of delinquent accounts.
– Maintains clear, adequate notes of client communications, action plans, and needed follow-up.
– Weekly reports on Accounts Receivable (AR) movement and updates.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist.
– Experience in credit and collections work is preferred, but not required.
– Has strong communication skills: You should be comfortable speaking over the phone and reaching out to initiate collections with accounts.
– Organisation and time management skills required.
– Must be able to multitask and prioritise to complete daily tasks and impromptu requests.
– Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
– Experience in both client and advertising agency marketing environments.
– Discretion and confidentiality
– Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
– A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
– High client service ethic.
– An ability and passion to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
– High attention to detail.
– Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Office, Google Apps and Google Suite with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
– Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
– Ability to keep company confidence.

Working Schedule: Day shift 2–3 hours per day

Preferred Qualifications:
– Handling high volume of Accounts Receivable for AU company: 2 years (Required)
– Previous experience working for an Australian company. (Required)
– Xero software: 2 years (Required)
