CLIENT BACKGROUND

Our client, is the current Xero Accounting Partner of the year in Australia. They are building the next generation of finance teams for Australian businesses looking to grow covering bookkeeping, compliance, CFO and advisory services.

They were recognised as the Boutique Firm of the Year award by AccountantsDaily Australian Accounting Awards, and also certified as a Great place to work in March 2023.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparation of sales invoices(AR), process suppliers invoices(AP) into accounting system
Performing bank reconciliations including cash coding, bank reconciliations, clearing accounts to reconcile and use of inter-loan entity accounts to reconcile
Import bank statements into accounting system
Handle bookkeeping & accounts queries
Manage the client’s accounts email account to ensure emails are actioned on a daily basis and liaise directly with suppliers and employees
Process payments of suppliers’ invoices (AP)
Initiate collection on past-due accounts (AR)
Process and maintain Equipment finance via AccountKit (Purchase, Sale, refinance of equipment)
Process and maintain Inter-entity loan accounts via AccountKit
Maintain Fixed Asset Register and Chart of Accounts
Perform payroll duties including the set-up new employee’s default superfund account, the set-up of new employee into accounting system, and payroll and superannuation processing of with accounts greater than 10 employees
Prepare and process YEar-End tasks including but not limited to STP and TPAR Finalisation
Setup process automation including but not limited to bank rules, auto-publish receipts and auto-forward email
Liaise directly with clients with strong written communication skills over email
Provide mentoring, training and reviewing team members’ work with minimal to no assistance from the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 4 to 5 years of Australian bookkeeping and payroll experience
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or related discipline
Advance knowledge of Xero
Ability to use internet banking including but not limited to CBA, ANZ, and NAB

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Personal equipment (laptop at least corei5/desktop)
Reliable, stable and high-speed internet
Work Environment: Be able to work privately (you’re accessing confidential financial information) during work hours.
