Our client, Growth Team, is a fast-growing Australian accounting firm with offices in Melbourne and Manila. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
Complete tax returns in compliance with Australian tax regulations for a diverse client portfolio.
Take charge of the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
Ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and compliance with relevant taxation laws.
Manage end-to-end financial processes, from data entry and reconciliation to financial reporting and analysis.
Work closely with clients to understand their financial objectives and provide proactive advice.
Handle payroll tax calculations and submissions in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Stay informed about changes in payroll tax laws and incorporate updates into client strategies.
Navigate and interpret the complexities of Division 7A and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) legislation.
Implement strategies to optimize tax outcomes for clients while ensuring compliance.
Collaborate with clients to develop effective tax planning strategies that align with their financial goals.
Stay abreast of legislative changes and industry trends to provide proactive and strategic advice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field – CPA is an advantage!
At least 4 years of Australian tax experience in a public practice setting
Xero experience and certification required
Experience in using Karbon, Accountkit, ChangeGPS, and Ignition is a nice to have
Good communication skills
With a strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
