Job Title: Offshore Business Tax Manager (Specializing in Australian Tax)

Job Summary:
The Offshore Business Tax Manager will oversee and manage all tax-related activities for our offshore business operations, specifically focusing on compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Australian tax codes, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing tax compliance and planning for international business entities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tax Compliance and Review:
– Ensure full compliance with Australian tax laws, including GST, income tax, payroll tax, and other relevant regulations.
– Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns and other required documentation.
– Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from Australian tax authorities.

2. Advisory Services:
– Provide expert tax advice to various departments, including finance, operations, and legal teams.
– Stay updated on changes in Australian tax legislation and advise the company on necessary actions.

3. Team Management:
– Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring continuous development and performance improvement.
– Coordinate with external tax advisors and consultants as needed.

6. Process Improvement:
– Develop and implement processes to improve tax compliance efficiency.
– Utilize tax technology and software to streamline tax reporting and compliance processes.

Qualifications:

– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA) is preferred.
– Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on Australian tax laws and regulations.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
– Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
– Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-experts.
– Leadership: Proven leadership and team management experience minimum 5 – 7 years in Manager role
– Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
