Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a skilled contact/lead researcher to help us search, find, and scrape email addresses that meet specific targeting requirements for cold email campaigns.

This role is supporting our clients, who all have different targeting requirements, keywords, and industries they work with. You will be expected to find very specific types of contacts that meet these criteria across multiple platforms including , , and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

This will require you to use advanced filters and search techniques, and test many new search combinations where you change, titles, keywords, and industry to create new audience sets that closely match the target criteria, but could not be found in a more general search.

The primary skill we are looking for is a strong ability to map new keywords, expand searches, and use advanced search techniques along with market research to identify 5-15 new audiences that closely match the original provided to you.

POSITION INFO

$6 USD + per hour depending on your experience level and skill with weekly bonuses for quality work.

This is a part-time hourly position that will start with about 5-10 hours per week as a trial. If you’re skilled hours may increase to 10-20 or more depending on demand from our clients.

If you can prove and demonstrate your skillset we are certainly open to paying you more and what you’re worth. We will provide you access to all paid licenses and contact scraping tools needed.

REQUIREMENTS

– Strong understanding of advanced search techniques like boolean filters
– Ability to perform market and keyword research to identify new look alike audiences to explore and map
– Direct experience and familiarity with , , LinkedIn Sales Nav and other B2B databases for finding emails
– Experience managing contact lists, saved searches, and search URLs with filters
– Experience exporting CSV lists, cleaning, scrubbing, sorting, and/or merging lists in Google Sheets

EXAMPLE SEARCH SCENARIO YOU WOULD BE EXPECTED TO DO

One of our clients works with direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands. This means they can work with skincare, supplements, jewelry, food and beverage and more. If you did a general search by industry alone, you will get many retail stores or wholesalers that are not a good fit.

One way to approach this DTC search is to apply a technology filter for Shopify, then target by specific keywords. If you choose skin care, you might target keywords like lotion, moisturizer, beauty, and many others. You would be expected to drill down into as many keywords as you can find and keep creating new searches until you have fully mapped out that audience.

After skin care you might try food and beverage, where the keywords may be snacks, energy drink, etc, and then switch to health and wellness, where the keywords could be vitamins, protein, nutrition, hair growth. Finally, you might search Google for DTC brands ideas to see what other DTC products you haven’t seen yet. You might see keto cereal brands on Google, then do new contact search for keto as a keyword that brings you to keto energy drinks, keto diet bars, etc.

Finally once you have these keywords and audiences mapped in Apollo, you would then try to go to LinkedIn and to recreate a similar list. Each platform has many thousands or tens of thousands of unique contacts not found in the other databases, but the filtering is different for LinkedIn and would require different strategies to recreate that audience.

This example is to simply walk you through the expectations of this position, where we would give you some initial search keywords and profile examples, but expect you to discover and expand as many new look-alike audiences as you can across each platform to increase the amount of contacts available by about 5-10X more.

To be successful you must be extremely detailed, curious, and creative with how you use the filters to discover new audiences. You must also be experienced and skilled with search, filters and booleans, and have direct experience using the mentioned platforms to know how the techniques might differ from each.
