Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Audio and Video Editing Assistant to join our team. You will primarily be responsible for assisting us with audio and video editing. You will be working on a variety of projects such as podcasts, interviews, content for YouTube & other social media, and occasionally television and film projects.

This job will begin as a part-time position with an expected workload of 20-25 hours per week, with the potential of becoming full-time within the next 3 months.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, a problem solver, can work quickly and efficiently, but most importantly has excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

– Editing audio and video content for podcasts, interviews, and YouTube/social media videos.
– Perform other general administrative tasks as needed

General Requirements:

– Strong attention to detail
– Strong organisational and time management skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
– Availability to work agreed hours and meet deadlines
– Fast learner and open to using new software
– A powerful computer, and excellent computer technical skills

Additional Requirements:

– Excellent audio production skills.
– Excellent video editing skills, including multi-cam editing and a good feel for editing.
– Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
– Proficiency in either Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Adobe Audition.
– Skills using iZotope RX
– Experience with Dropbox, Google Drive and Google Suite.

Extra Points for:

– Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
– Motion graphics and animation skills
– Using a Mac computer (not essential)

About Me:

Primarily, we are a podcast production company based in Australia, and we edit podcast video and audio. In addition to this we also repair, design, mix and master audio for various projects including television and film.
