Position Title: Audio / Video Editor

Location: Remote

Reports To: Podcast Host

Purpose of Podcast:
To share business ideas, insights, perspectives, tips and advice.

Compensation:
$3-$5 hourly (based on experience) payable weekly via Payoneer
– Paid day off on National Heroes’ Day (in the Philippines) every year, as long as you work as scheduled on the weekday immediately before and immediately after National Heroes’ Day

Position Summary:
The Audio / Video Editor plays a crucial role in supporting the production and success of the podcast. This role involves tasks such as scheduling interviews, editing audio content, coordinating post-production efforts, and assisting with social media promotion and audience engagement. The Audio / Video Editor also ensures the smooth operation of the podcasting process, allowing the host and production team to focus on content creation and delivering a high-quality listening experience to the audience.

Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in researching topics, guests, and potential interviewees for podcast episodes.

-Episode Planning and Production:
-Help schedule and coordinate recording sessions, ensuring all participants are informed and available.
-Assist with audio recording, editing, and post-production tasks using podcast software or tools.
-Edit video related to podcast episodes, including editing and post-production.
-Manage equipment and ensure it is properly set up and maintained.
-Oversee the organization of scripts, show notes, and episode files for easy reference and access.

Guest and Audience Engagement:
-Communicate with potential guests, scheduling interviews, and providing them with necessary information.
-Monitor and engage with the podcast’s social media channels and email inquiries.
-Assist in the creation and execution of promotional strategies and campaigns.

Administrative Support:
-Manage the podcast calendar, ensuring episodes are released on schedule.
-Help maintain a budget for the podcast, tracking expenses related to equipment, software, and promotional efforts.
-Handle administrative tasks such as email management, document organization, and scheduling meetings.

Quality Control:
-Ensure audio quality is consistent and that episodes are free from technical glitches.
-Proofread and fact-check podcast episode scripts, show notes, and promotional materials.

Collaboration:
-Collaborate with the podcast team, including hosts, producers, and other assistants, to brainstorm ideas and improve content quality.
-Attend team meetings and provide input on podcast strategy and growth.

Qualifications:
-Previous experience in podcasting, audio production, or a related field is a plus.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, GarageBand) is advantageous.
-Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Creative thinking.
-Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing.
-Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
-Enthusiasm for podcasts and a passion for storytelling.
