Key Responsibilities:

Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities. This involves gathering financial information, ensuring deductions and credits are properly claimed, and submitting returns to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on time.

Tax Planning: Offer strategic tax planning advice to clients to minimize their tax liabilities while staying compliant with Australian tax laws. Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop tax-efficient strategies.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements, documents, and records to determine taxable income, deductions, and credits. Ensure accurate reporting and adherence to tax regulations.

Compliance: Keep abreast of changes in Australian tax laws and regulations. Ensure clients comply with all tax requirements and deadlines. Assist in resolving any tax-related issues or disputes with tax authorities.

Client Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their financial situations, tax goals, and concerns. Provide clear explanations of complex tax matters and advise on tax-efficient financial decisions.

Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions, tax documents, and correspondence with clients. Ensure all documentation is easily accessible for audits or inquiries.

Tax Research: Conduct research on tax-related issues, rulings, and case laws to provide informed guidance to clients and ensure tax compliance.

Software and Technology: Utilize accounting and tax software to streamline tax preparation and compliance processes. Stay updated with the latest software and technology trends in the field.

Client Education: Educate clients on tax implications of various financial decisions, such as investments, asset purchases, and business expansions.

Ethical Conduct: Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and tax information.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA is required
1year to 2years Australian Tax experience
Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in tax and accounting software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
Ethical conduct and a commitment to confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ongoing professional development to stay updated with changing tax laws.
