Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled developer to create an automated script that can search for DVD titles on eBay based on a provided CSV file. The CSV file will contain up to 127k DVD titles, each with an associated maximum bid amount. The script should then filter new eBay listings that match the DVD titles, have free shipping, and are priced within the specified maximum bid amount. Once a matching item is found, the script should immediately send an email notification with essential item details.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a script to integrate eBay’s Finding API for automated DVD title search.
Implement filtering based on new listings, free shipping, and max bid amount.
Extract and format relevant item details (e.g., title, list price, eBay link, primary picture, ASIN for Amazon) from the API response.
Create a secure and efficient script to run at regular intervals for continuous monitoring.
Set up an email notification system to send immediate alerts upon finding a matching item.
Requirements:
Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for API integration and data manipulation.
Prior experience with eBay’s Finding API or similar web scraping/automation projects is preferred.
Knowledge of handling CSV files for data input.
Familiarity with email libraries for sending automated emails.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate matching of DVD titles and bid amounts.
