Automation Engineer – Make Tool Integration

We are seeking a talented and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in streamlining and optimizing our operational processes through the development and implementation of automation solutions. The primary focus of this role will be to create and enhance automation tools, particularly within Airtable and Slack, to increase efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and improve overall workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement automation opportunities within Airtable and Slack, as well as other relevant platforms.
Develop custom automation solutions that align with business requirements and operational needs, using a combination of APIs, scripting languages, and other relevant technologies.
Design and maintain automated workflows that integrate various tools and systems to ensure seamless data flow and communication.
Troubleshoot, test, and optimize automation tools to ensure reliability, accuracy, and robustness in various scenarios.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in automation, recommending and implementing improvements to existing processes.
Create documentation for developed automation solutions, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on automation tools, ensuring they meet evolving business needs.
Provide technical support and training to end-users, assisting them in utilizing and understanding the implemented automation tools effectively.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Proven experience as an Automation Engineer, Process Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on creating automation solutions for operational processes.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
Familiarity with APIs and data integration methods to connect various platforms and tools.
Prior experience working with Airtable and Slack APIs is a strong plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, and continuous integration.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools to ensure timely delivery of automation projects.
