Elite Digital is a white label WordPress design and development agency that serves other agencies. Based in the UK but working remotely, we are a team of 16 right now, 14 of which are in the Philippines.
We’ve been trading since 2019, first under Themeco (makers of the hugely popular X and Pro WP themes), and more recently under our own name. We’ve grown steadily during that time, working with many clients around the world, but mainly in the US & UK.
Now we’re looking for a great back-end developer who loves using their skills to solve technical problems, fix issues and create custom functionality for our clients.
Key Requirements
– A minimum 3 years experience either working as a back-end developer or directly with clients.
– Highly proficient technically in PHP, Javascript & WordPress.
– Experienced using APIs to integrate websites with third party platforms.
– Capable of building custom functionality from scratch following development best practices.
– Great problem solver, who can create elegant solutions to technical challenges.
– Excellent communicator in English, both in writing and verbally.
– Team player who is prepared to offer opinions and or seek support from colleagues.
Experience
This role would suit someone with several years development experience, who is used to working on multiple projects and coming up with solutions yourself in order to meet project briefs. You may work within a team already or you may be a freelancer who works directly with clients, but you should be familiar with the project cycle from estimation to quality assurance. The successful candidate will not just be a great coder in theory, but a great problem solver in practice too.
Responsibilities
– Reviewing project briefs, asking clarifying questions, offering technical solutions to meet briefs and providing estimates.
– Carrying out development of assigned projects to meet our internal coding standards.
– Testing your own work and assuring it meets the project brief.
– Reporting progress internally and to our clients per our communication standards.
– Working closely with our project managers and representing our company well.
