What You’ll Do?
As a Backend Developer at Finduku, you will:
– Develop and Maintain: Create and maintain the backend framework of our Finduku application using Python and Django.
– API Development: Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration with our frontend systems.
– Database Management: Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
– Cloud Deployment: Deploy Django applications on AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability.
– Real-time Communication: Implement real-time communication features using Django Channels and Redis for Websockets.
– Version Control and CI/CD: Ensure smooth deployment processes using version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
– Integration with Partners: Handle integration with partners, banks, and other financial institutions via API to expand our network and services.
– Collaboration: Work closely with the frontend team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

What We’re Looking For?
– Proficiency in Python and Django: You should have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in building software, applications, and systems.
– Database Management: Experience with PostgreSQL.
– Cloud Services: Proven experience deploying Django applications on AWS.
– API Development: Proficiency in REST Framework and REST API.
– Websockets: Experience with UVICORN and Django Channels, and using Redis for Websockets.
– Deployment: Understanding of deployment and version control systems.
– CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
– Integration Experience: Experience in handling API integrations with banks, financial institutions, and other partners.
