Hey!
We’re a small, bootstrapped team of product creators with a passion for making cool and useful stuff! For the past 6 years, we’ve been helping people grow their businesses by marketing their products/services online. We believe in rapid iteration and testing with the market. We are now looking for a self-starting, absolute expert PHP/WordPress developer to join our team and help us maintain and improve our legacy codebase and work on exciting new projects.
Responsibilities:
Our legacy app is built on top of wordpress as a fully custom theme and generates static, minified JS files for themeing Infusionsoft order form pages. These JS files are authenticated and served via a Node server. We need to keep this codebase up-to-date and stable as it’s heavily used by the Infusionsoft community.
NOTE: This is not a basic wordpress website — this is a full-fledged production application using WordPress at it’s core
As our PHP/WordPress Developer, you will:
– Dockerize our legacy app to create a proper local development environment
– Keep all dependencies up to date (WordPress, PHP, plugins, etc.) and fix any breakages that occur
– Maintain the codebase for Long-Term Support (LTS)
– Collaborate with the team to develop our next-gen product, integrations, and WordPress plugins
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with our legacy WordPress application and plugins
– Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of our solutions
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a PHP/WordPress developer with expertise in maintaining and improving legacy codebases
– Strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress, MySQL, and related technologies
– Familiarity with the Memberium plugin and its integration with Infusionsoft/Keap
– Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– A proactive and self-starting attitude, able to work independently and meet deadlines
– A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Nice-to-haves:
– Experience in developing WordPress plugins and integrations
– Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
What We Offer:
– A supportive and collaborative work environment
– Opportunity for growth and development as you work on our next-gen product, integrations, and ancillary plugins
– Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
– Remote work with flexible hours to suit your lifestyle
– The chance to work on exciting projects and make a real impact on our clients’ businesses
How to Apply:
Please submit your application detailing your experience and expertise, and examples of relevant projects you’ve worked on and why you think they make you a perfect fit for this role. Please include the word “waffle” in your application to confirm you’ve thoroughly read this post. If this isn’t included, we’ll deny your application. We look forward to hearing from you!
