Job Description

Department: Technical Division – Network Dept

Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Backend Support professional to join our Network Department within the Technical Division. The NetOps Backend resource is essential for maintaining consistent network health and performance, identifying and resolving issues, and escalating complex problems to the Network team when necessary.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitor and document network health, addressing alerts as they arise.
Conduct basic network troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly.
Deploy network software updates to ensure systems remain current and secure.
Communicate with internal departments regarding license expirations and renewals for platforms such as Meraki and Sonicwall.
Audit network information based on the client IT/Network book.
Identify end-of-life devices and alert the NetOps Team Leader accordingly.
Ensure all clients have a comprehensive network IT book, and notify the NetOps Analyst if one needs to be created.
Escalate unresolved issues to the NetOps Analyst.
Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in IT or a related field, OR 1-2 years of experience in IT or a related field.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA are advantageous.
Familiarity with network management tools such as UniFi Dashboard, Omada Dashboard, Cisco Meraki Dashboard, PRTG, or Nagios.
Knowledge of deploying network software updates and managing licenses for platforms such as Meraki and Sonicwall.
Familiarity with Datto DNA and Datto Networking is a plus.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams and Planner for communication and task management.
Understanding of Autotask Ticketing System for incident management and tracking is a plus.
Experience:

1-2 years of experience in technical support or help desk roles within a network environment.
Prior experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
Established history of attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently.
