As a Creative YouTube Video Editor at JCAL Media, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our channel. You will work closely with us to create visually stunning, engaging, and shareable videos. Your creativity and expertise will be instrumental in helping us grow our audience and keep them coming back for more.
Responsibilities:
1. Video Editing: Edit and assemble great videos into compelling videos that align with our channel’s style and objectives.
2. Storytelling: Develop a deep understanding of our content and contribute to the storytelling process through effective editing techniques.
3. Creative Input: Collaborate with content creators to brainstorm and implement innovative video concepts, styles, and formats.
4. Visual Enhancements: Enhance video quality through color correction, audio adjustments, and visual effects to maintain a consistent and appealing visual style.
5. Engagement Optimization: Optimize video content for YouTube, including creating attention-grabbing thumbnails and writing engaging video titles and descriptions.
6. Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with YouTube trends, video editing software, and emerging technologies to continuously improve video quality and audience engagement.
7. Feedback Integration: Actively seek feedback from the team and audience to improve video quality and content.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with the content creation team, including videographers, writers, and graphic designers, to ensure a cohesive and engaging viewer experience.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creativity and editing skills.
2. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
3. Understanding of YouTube’s platform and best practices, including SEO optimization, copyright policies, and audience engagement strategies.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. A passion for storytelling through video editing and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
7. Knowledge of current trends in video editing, animation, and graphic design.
