Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting, 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, and preferably experience in the transportation industry. Proficiency in Quickbooks is preferred as the candidate will be responsible for daily billing activities and ensuring accurate posting in our accounting system.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Billing of Clients:
– Collect payment through our system and ensure invoices are sent promptly after payment is received.
– Manage the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoices.
– Verify that all payments are made, including those through our automated credit card system, checks, and wire transfers.
– Address any payment discrepancies and follow up with clients as necessary to resolve outstanding issues.
– Maintain records of billing activities and customer payments.

Account Reconciliation:
– Reconcile billing records with payments received to ensure accuracy.
– Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between invoices and payments.
– Ensure proper posting of transactions in Quickbooks.

Technical Qualifications:
– Proficient in using remote collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and Google Meet for communication and meetings.
– Strong knowledge of Google Workspace for data analysis and reporting.
– Experience with cloud-based accounting software, preferably Quickbooks Online.
– Familiarity with online payment processing platforms.
– Comfortable with remote work setups and able to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

Communication and Collaboration:
– Collaborate with the General Manager to address any billing or payment issues.
– Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies.
– Work closely with other departments to ensure billing accuracy and resolve customer issues promptly.

Reporting:
– Generate regular reports on billing activities, outstanding invoices, and payment status.
– Analyze billing data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.

General Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
– 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in billing or accounting.
– Experience with a transportation company is a plus.
– Proficiency in Quickbooks is preferred.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Reporting Structure:
The Billing Analyst will report directly to the General Manager.
