Rate: $4/hour

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the role of Billing and Eligibility specialist. In this position, you will play a crucial role in managing billing processes and verifying eligibility for patients, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of insurance claims.

Responsibilities:

– Verify patients’ insurance eligibility and coverage details accurately and efficiently.
– Process billing and claims submissions according to established procedures and guidelines.
– Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to billing discrepancies or insurance coverage.
– Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing practices.
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations, policies, and procedures.
– Assist in medical scribing tasks when necessary, documenting patient encounters accurately.
– Navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently to update patient information and billing records.

Requirements:

– Fluent in English with an unnoticeable accent.
– Preferred but not required experience in workers’ compensation, personal injury, insurance processes, medical scribing, or billing.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
– Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
– Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues, and insurance representatives.
– Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
– Understanding of medical terminology and familiarity with billing codes is advantageous.

We’re open to applicants without prior experience in Billing and Eligibility, provided you have excellent English communication skills (speaks well with unnoticeable Filipino accent) and willing to learn.

Note: The rate offered is $4/hour. Full-time availability (40 hours per week) during EST hours is required.
