Role: Administrative Assistant for our Insurance and Billing Department
Responsibilities:
As an Administrative Assistant for our Insurance and Billing Department, you will work closely with our Insurance Supplementer/Billing Specialist to ensure the seamless processing of insurance claims, accurate billing, and timely reimbursement. Your responsibilities will include:
– Providing administrative support to the Insurance Supplementer/Billing Specialist, including answering and forwarding emails, and following up on insurance communication.
– Collaborating with the Insurance Supplementer/Billing Specialist and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
– Maintaining accurate and organized records of claims and payments.
– Communicating with customers during the supplementing process to provide updates.
– Intuitively identifying opportunities to assist the Insurance Supplementer/Billing Specialist in optimizing processes.
– Assisting in reviewing insurance claims and supplementing them with additional information as required.
– Possibly making phone calls to insurance companies to obtain necessary information and documentation.
– Supporting the follow-up process with insurance companies on claims to ensure timely and accurate payment.
– Working with insurance companies to address billing or reimbursement issues.
– Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
– Ability to work effectively in a remote/virtual environment.
– Prior experience in insurance claims, billing, or administrative support is a plus.
– Familiarity with construction industry terminology is advantageous.
