We are seeking a talented and detailed blog post writer to join our team remotely.

Our Blog Post Writer will use AI to craft helpful and engaging blog posts for our website.

Since our primary income streams are ad revenue, affiliate income, and digital product sales, this is a very important role to us.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our ideal candidate for this position would ideally have experience with blogs in WordPress, and/or they’ve worked with bloggers before.

This is considered a “niche site.” The blog post writer will share resources and content directly related to helping American families celebrate birthdays creatively, while spending less money.

The owner would love to work with someone who is familiar with this business model, if possible.

If you’ve worked with creators in the personal finance space (and/or, if you have experience in the personal finance space), that’s even better.

Most importantly, the owner wants to work with someone who’s eager to learn, adaptable, and of high moral character. So if you don’t have directly related experience, but you’re willing to learn, still apply.

ABOUT CAKE AND CANDLE DAY

This is a new brand and website with minimal online presence, but the owner has built brands before and is looking to invest time and money into this.

Cake and Candle Day is a website aimed to help American families have the happiest birthdays, while saving money.

We write about couponing, budgeting, birthday discounts, and birthday month deals.

We really want to brighten people’s days and create shareable, viral-potential content on our website.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

– Write helpful, engaging, and compelling content that humans love to read, using AI
– Do keyword research using a tool like KeySearch (some keyword phrases will be given to you)
– Use on-page SEO to help specific blog posts rank (our blog writers use a plug-in that guides them through this)
– Work with our Virtual Assistant and Social Media Manager to create compelling content across all platforms
– Create content pillars and cornerstone content to build our website’s authority
– Send outreach emails to submit guest posts to related blogs and websites
– Write guest blog posts for related blogs and websites
– Pitch to journalists using HARO (Help a Reporter Out – you’ll be trained on this if needed)
– Look for opportunities for collaboration, monetization, or cost savings when it comes to our website
– Manage our website to ensure it stays up-to-date and secure
– Keep plug-ins and widgets updated
– Adjust website theme elements if and when needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Must have experience with (or be willing to learn) WordPress, Google Docs, Grammarly, and writing for SEO
– Must have a very strong command of English language and grammar used in the United States
– Must be excited about (or interested in) the idea of contributing to a fun birthday site

HOW TO APPLY
