Job Description

Hi! We are looking to add an amazing, go-getter admin assistant / virtual assistant for our growing online publishing company.

The qualifications we are looking for and your responsibilities will include:

– Social media management: create several eye-catching images for Pinterest daily, add images/graphics to blog posts, manage social media posts and scheduling.
– Upload new content to blog, maintain spreadsheet for blog updates, manage freelance writers, create web stories (training available), etc.
– Write short social media/blog posts.
– Create graphics using Canva and other tools, edit videos for social media TikTok, IG and Facebook) and YouTube.
– Email management: check emails and handle inquiries, organize inbox, draft email newsletters, etc.

Daily Teams Check-In calls (voice and video) – Even though we are all working remotely we have a great time every day interacting with each other via Zoom everyday 🙂

Responsibilities will grow and opportunities for advancement will be available.

Minimum Requirements-
– Fluent English (Speaking and Writing)
– Excellent with Word
– a “go-getter-problem-solver” personality
– Positive, no excuse attitude
– a Team Player who can also work with minimum supervision
– Extreme amount of trust and loyalty
– Excellent communication skills and fun personality
– Full Time Availability – 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (We are also open to hiring a part-time individual who requires little to no training for 20 hours weekly)

– High Attention to detail (when applying please mention the name of the NHL team for Winnipeg Manitoba in the subject line so we’ll know you’ve read it through our posting).

– Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
– Experience with graphic design platforms and image editing tools
– Advantage: Experience with growing a business Pinterest account and creating/editing videos for YouTube
– Advantage: Experience working with websites or blogs built using WordPress, creating content, proofreading, editing, and uploading content online
– Advantage: Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
– Advantage: Working with collaboration tools like Asana

Workspace & Computer Requirements:
– A reliable, wired internet connection with 10mbps or higher
– Computer Processor with 1.8Ghz or higher
– USB noise cancelling controlled headset
– Quiet workspace

Compensation, Perks & Benefits:
– Starting FT Wage $700-$900 USD based on experience
– Opportunities to grow inside the company and increase wages
– 2 Weeks of Paid Vacation for every 12 months of work completed

Hours of work will be Monday – Friday 10AM – 6PM Pacific Time Vancouver. The preferred candidate must be comfortable working during these hours.

Willing to discuss greater flexibility in work schedule for highly independent “go-getter-problem-solver” personality.
