Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the overall financial health of our clients’ businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
• Monitor financial transactions and reports.
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
• Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed.
• Review and reconcile the general ledger.
• Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Generate financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy of financial data.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for all accounting tasks.
• Maintain and update financial data in QuickBooks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues within QuickBooks.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3 + years of experience.
• Significant experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Highly skilled in using Excel for accounting purposes.
• Prior work experience in the accounting field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is optional but preferred.
• Maintain a great positive attitude and demonstrate a friendly and approachable personality.
• Show a general interest in working with and within a small business environment.
• Exhibit a proactive and dedicated approach to tasks and challenges.
• Capable of working without supervision or regular input.
• Self-sufficient in managing work responsibilities.
