**Job Description: Virtual Assistant for Property Management Bookkeeping**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to join our property management team and oversee bookkeeping activities. As a Virtual Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts receivable and accounts payable and tracking rental payments.

**Responsibilities:**

As a Virtual Assistant for Property Management Bookkeeping, your responsibilities will include:

1. **Financial Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our property management portfolio. This involves tracking rent payments, property expenses, vendor invoices, and other financial transactions within the AppFolio software.

2. **Accounts Reconciliation:** Reconcile bank statements, rent rolls, and vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Promptly address and rectify any discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.

3. **Invoice Processing:** Generate and process invoices for tenants, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Coordinate with property managers to verify lease terms and rent amounts.

4. **Expense Tracking:** Monitor and categorize property expenses, including repairs, maintenance, utilities, and other operating costs. Prepare regular reports to provide insights into cost trends.

5. **Rent Collection:** Assist in tracking rent payments and sending reminders to tenants as needed. Handle any inquiries related to tenant rent accounts.

6. **Financial Reporting:** Compile financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, using AppFolio’s reporting capabilities. Summarize financial data for property managers and management team.

**Qualifications:**

– Proficiency in property management bookkeeping practices and principles.
– Experience with the property management software AppFolio is a strong asset.
– Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
– Strong communication skills to collaborate with property managers, tenants, and vendors.
– Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
