Book layout and design specialist for an Astrology book

RedAstrologer is looking for full-time / part-time freelancer who can help us convert a book manuscript, currently in a google document into Adobe in-design document that is ready to be published on Kindle (ePub), PDF and print.

You will work closely with the author – a professional astrologer with 10+ years experience throughout the process. The book is almost ready, currently around 500 pages including diagrams in a Google document.

You will be responsible for:
1. Book Layout and Design:
• Create an aesthetically pleasing and reader-friendly layout for the entire book, ensuring consistency in fonts, formatting, and spacing.
• Organize and structure the content, including chapters, sections, headings, and subheadings for optimal readability.
• Ensure that the book’s layout adheres to industry standards and is suitable for both print and digital formats.

2. Illustrations and Visual Content:
• Work closely with the author to convert some rough diagrams (horoscope and lots of tables!) into illustrations that match the book’s style.
• Maintain a consistent visual style and ensure that all illustrations complement the content seamlessly.
• Edit and enhance existing visual content as needed to improve clarity and visual appeal.

3. Book Cover Design:
• Design an eye-catching and compelling book cover that reflects the essence of KP Astrology and captivates the target audience.
• Incorporate relevant imagery, typography, and color schemes to create a visually striking cover.
• Prepare the book cover for both print and digital formats, meeting industry standards for publication.

Once you complete your first 3 months work and we decide to work longer together you will be eligible for the 13th month.
