Are you a self-motivated individual with a talent in supporting the bookkeeping functions of an individual/organization? Our team is currently hiring for someone with strong Bookkeeping skill to join our dynamic team of remote workers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Accurately record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and sales, into the accounting system.
– Maintain detailed and organized financial records for easy reference and retrieval.
– Assist in bank reconciliation by matching transactions and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and financial records.
– Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
– Generate and process invoices for customers or clients.
– Assist with processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
– Help prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, under the guidance of the bookkeeper or accountant.
– Compile data and information for regular financial analysis and reporting.
– Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and digital records of financial documents, receipts, and invoices.
– Ensure compliance with record retention policies.
– Provide assistance in preparing documentation and information for audits and financial reviews.
– Assist with the preparation of tax-related documents and filings.
– Collaborate with other team members and departments to obtain necessary information for accurate bookkeeping.
– Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and colleagues regarding financial matters.
– Adhere to company financial policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.
– Support the bookkeeper or accountant in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Requirements:
– Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is beneficial but not always required for entry-level positions.
– Proficiency in using accounting software, Quickbooks and Quickbooks online, spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and general computer skills.
– Strong numerical skills to accurately process and record financial data.
– A keen eye for detail to identify discrepancies and errors in financial records.
– Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
– Uphold high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
– Clear and effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
– Ability to identify and resolve basic bookkeeping issues with guidance.
