Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Remote (Atlanta, GA preferably)
Salary: $500/month
Bell Acquisitions, a fast-growing all-in-one real estate company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in utilizing QuickBooks to manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization while developing valuable skills and experience in the real estate industry. Our primary real estate focus is multifamily and short-term rental properties.
Responsibilities:
Utilize QuickBooks to prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Prepare 1099 forms, contractor payments, plus sales and use tax reports; monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
Prepare and maintain AirBnB finance expense sheets.
Maintain accounting records, update general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure completeness of financial transactions.
Process payroll, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Track payment and report due dates effectively.
Collaborate with management on accounting and tax issues.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
Pay meticulous attention to detail, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
Work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Adhere strictly to procedures, maintain confidentiality, and exercise professional discretion.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Expertise in utilizing accounting platforms Gusto and Wise to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Property management bookkeeper handles various accounting, finance, and billing details for residential, multifamily, and commercial real estate.
Assist in recording rent and booking deposits.
Other duties include managing employee payroll, communicating with and invoicing contractors, and utilizing accounting software to submit accurate records.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience using QuickBooks.
3-5 years of bookkeeping experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred).
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to understand and adhere to contracts, government regulations, and professional guidelines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective time management and deadline-focused.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and professionally while also being a friendly team player.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Self-motivated, versatile, and highly organized, with acute attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Ability to manage priorities and workload effectively to meet expectations and deadlines.
Must have some real estate knowledge.
