Job Title:
Remote Bookkeeper – Content Management Agency

Hourly Rate:
$5 USD/hour. Paid hourly based on time tracked. (Start with 10 hours per week but will grow to full time over next few months)

Working Hours:
Semi-Flexible, between 10-40 hours per week depending on demand.

About Your Role:
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in our agency’s financial operations. You will be responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties to facilitate financial management within the company. Your primary role will be surrounding accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliation duties.

Your Responsibilities:
1. Daily Reconciliations: Using the accounting software Xero.

2. AP/AR: Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

3. Processing Payroll: Adding new employees into Xero, and processing payroll depending on the schedule your company will run.

4. Tax and Reporting: Providing company reports to the owners and maintaining tax and government requirements.

5. Communications Channel: This is a remote role, work from home however you will be required to install “Slack” onto your mobile device so that you are available upon company request to fulfil your duties. Also, the use of Time Doctor is required to monitor your working hours.

6. Spreadsheet Management: Proficiently manage spreadsheets to organise and track onboarding progress, creator details, and other relevant information.

7. Industry Familiarity: Comfortably navigate and work in the online entertainment industry, adhering to the confidentiality and professionalism required in this unique field.

Prior Work Experience Requirements:
Non-Negotiable Requirements:

– Demonstrated experience using Xero Bookkeeping Software

– Excellent written proficiency in English, and the ability to understand spoken english, to effectively communicate with creators and internal stakeholders.

– Demonstrated and proven prior experience working at a similar capacity in a bookkeeping role.

– Be able to work unmonitored for periods of time.

– You should have completed/studying at least a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or a Certificate IV in Accounting.

Negotiable Requirements:

– Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively, prioritise assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

– Strong spreadsheet management skills, including data entry and organisation.

– High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
