We are in need of a dedicated BOOKKEEPER, who is looking for a STABLE and PERMANENT work-from-home career.
We are looking for an experienced BOOKKEEPER to join their Accounting Department. This person will be responsible for providing accounting support in all areas of financial processes and reporting. The ideal candidate is more than just a numbers person, they have impeccable attention to detail, a desire to learn, technical know-how, and last but not least, the ideal candidate is incredibly organized while juggling multiple priorities.
Daily Tasks:
• Accounts Payable – code and post Invoices.
• Process team expense claims for the Assist Director of Finance with Monthly Financial Statement Preparation – prepare and post journal entries, ledger reconciling for bank accounts and credit card statements.
• Back up for Invoicing and Payroll – posting of accounts receivable, responding to billing inquiries, and preparing payroll payments.
• Data Mining and Reporting – provide financial and customer reporting and analysis as required.
• Budgets – participate in the budgeting process including budget preparation.
Other Duties:
– Act as a department Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key technology/tools in the accounting department
– Assist with preparations for audits
– Prepare funding applications with required supporting documentation
Job Requirements:
• 3+ years of Bookkeeping and Accounting experience for a US-based client
• 2+ years of Excel and Sharepoint experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Experience in accounting software, preferably Sage
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A secondary Degree is a PLUS! (Masters, Accounting Certificate such as CMA, CPA, etc)
Nice to Have:
PowerBI experience
AI platforms, such as Copilot and understanding of its applications in accounting processes
