We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview: As a Bookkeeper at The Tax Team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including processing and reconciling financial transactions.
Financial Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
Financial Statements: Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Compliance: Collaborate with accountants to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Financial Policies: Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.
Client Support: Provide support to clients by answering questions and resolving any bookkeeping-related issues.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and other tech tools. Familiarity with financial software and platforms such as Asana, Keeper, Taxdome, Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and Gusto is a plus.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and GAAP accounting.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Independent Work: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with team members and provide comprehensive financial services to clients.
