Job Description:
We’re excited to announce an opening for a Mid-Level Bookkeeper in our Accounting Department; a diverse team that includes teammates from around the world, including the Philippines. We’re seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional to assist us in our mission to provide exceptional financial accounting for our properties and entities. Responsibilities are as follows:
Execution of bookkeeping functions for properties and entities.
Attend to instructions of the Head Bookkeeper & note down details for future reference.
Track and improve our entities’ dashboards.
Maintain records of tenants and vendors.
Communicate diligently via the Solution Center (Appfolio) with clients to ensure they feel cared for and important.
Coordinate with the rest of the team on finances.
Handle paperwork related to real estate in NYC government departments (HPD, DOB, etc.).
Handle projects throughout the year (HPD, RPIE, HDFC, DHCR, 1098/9, & many more).
Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Review invoices from the mail scanning service (Traveling Mailbox) and post them to Dropbox and Appfolio.
Handle Amazon/credit card reimbursement monthly.
Conduct payroll entries monthly.
Stay current on invoice entries & vendor reconciliations.
Mission:
To assist with the financial accounting of all properties, WayFinder, En Point, and OGI. Note:
This role operates during New York hours. TimeProof software is required for this position.
Requirements
Strong experience in bookkeeping (experience in Real Estate or Property Management is a significant plus).
Familiarity with AppFolio software (preferred).
Proven experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Background in Accounts Receivable/Payable.
An Accounting degree or certification.
Familiarity with Financial Statements, including Balance Sheets.
