Job Description

We are a small Australian construction company looking for a work from home full time Bookkeeper/Accounts and Virtual Assistant.

We need someone who is proficient with Xero (or QuickBooks & willing to learn).

You also need to be able to reconcile accounts, methodically resolve uncommon issues that arise, respond to emails and phone calls, and organise the office including calling and emailing team members and suppliers to assist in your tasks. We will provide training to help you develop your career..

To enjoy doing this job well, you will need to:have:
– excellent English skills, and able to communicate well both verbally and in writing
– a Fast internet connection
– full time availability
– previous experience in bookkeeping/accounts payable
– previous experience in a virtual assistance role.
– experience with remote team tools like Time Doctor, Google Drive, Calendar & Meet, Zoom etrc,

DAY to DAY responsibilities vary and will mostly include some of these::
– accounts email monitoring and actioning
– invoice and statement resolutions
– virtual assistance to the director such as manage email & diary, ad hoc appointments, purchases etc
– virtually attend meetings to take notes and type minutes – follow-up actions in meetings
– ad hoc admin and organisational assistance to the team
– answer office landline phone (very few calls per day)
– daily update of task list detailing completed, and ongoing tasks and any assistance required

WEEKLY responsibilities will mostly include:
– Xero accounts partial reconciliations
– Issue & action Xero Debtors report (accounts receivable is only 3-5 invoices per month)

MONTHLY responsibilities will mostly include:
– Month end Xero/Bank account reconciliations
– Monthly Trade account statement reconciliations and payments this is made easy by our in house software)
– Process monthly office expenses bills and payments (power, water, internet, insurances etc)

Exceptional performers will be rewarded with periodic pay rises.
