We are a US-based startup accounting firm that serves small businesses. We are seeking someone to join our virtual team as a bookkeeper and accountant. You would be in charge of supporting the administrative & accounting operations of our biggest client. We have a handful of clients, but our largest client needs daily support as it relates to RFQ’s (quotes), invoices, purchase orders, and more.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
– Create RFQs, invoices, and purchase orders as needed via Excel
– Manages communication channels for our client (email, Slack, Asana)
– Extremely organized, can execute, keeps people on track, doesn’t miss deadlines
– Takes ownership of projects, deadlines, tasks needed
– Excellent communicator. Great with written and spoken English.
– Gives managers progress/status updates every day. Organizes and keeps track of all the deadlines/goals/action plans
– Completes bookkeeping on a monthly basis
– Reconciles outstanding accounts receivable and accounts payable frequently

Software: We use Quickbooks Online, Slack, Asana, & soon a CRM and AP/AR tool

Hours Expectation: 15-25 hours a week (3-5 hours/day), with expectations for hours to increase to full-time within a few months. It starts slow, but then you get more hours over time

Timezone: We operate regular USA work hours (8am-4pm USA Central Time Zone). Since you would work part-time, we need you to be available during our core hours around 9am-2pm Central Time Mon-Fri (USA Central Time Zone).

Qualifications:
– Degree in accounting
– At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
– Preferred: Quickbooks Online certifications (Quickbooks ProAdvisor)
– Understanding of accounting – financial statements, journal entries, bank reconciliations
– Experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoices
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
