Job Description

United States-based holding company with a portfolio of 6 companies and 1 nonprofit is looking for a full-time staff who is an expert in bookkeeping and research to help support the team in various financial, research, and administrative capacities. This role will report to the CEO of the holding company and will also partially report to the Purchasing Manager for one of the portfolio companies.
Bookkeeping and Accounting Responsibilities:
– Manage daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting for 6 companies and 1 nonprofit (200-300 transactions per month plus backup accounting), with exceptional attention to detail
– Build processes across all businesses to make sure that no expense or receipt is left unallocated. Each business has different needs, stakeholders, and business partners
– Actively manage inventory and stock levels for Amazon e-commerce business within Quickbooks Online and with ConnectBooks software
– Keep accurate time for all of your activities for each of the 6 companies + 1 nonprofit
Research and Administrative Responsibilities:
– Research new wholesale and distributor suppliers for Amazon e-commerce business; create process spreadsheets and documents to track supplier leads and make initial contact with suppliers
– Manage email inbox for wholesale supplier research
– Respond to prep center and warehouse team to ensure quick resolution of inbound inventory issues
– Other tasks as assigned by the holding company CEO and e-commerce business purchasing manager
Requirements:
– 2+ years experience in managing accounting for U.S.-based companies OR a combination of 4+ years experience in managing accounting for Filipino and U.S.-based companies
– Full knowledge of GAAP accounting and familiarity with United States accounting best-practices
– Quickbooks Online experience required; Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor certification a big plus
– Advanced business English proficiency
– Team player with high drive, motivation, and a good sense of humor
– Highest level of personal integrity as you will be trusted with a lot of important information
– Experience in retail e-commerce, nonprofits, or real estate is a big plus
Other Information
– This is a weekday evening shift role starting at either 3-4pm and ending at either 12-1am Philippines time
– Company observes these paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, All Saints Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve
– Every month you work, you earn 1 personal day which can be used as vacation days or sick days
– 13th month pay prorated for number of full months worked in a year
