Bookkeeper and Marketing Assistant

We are hiring a part-time bookkeeper and marketing assistant! This is a part-time position with room to grow to full-time. The current salary and work expectations are based on an average of 15 hours per week. This is a new position we are creating and are willing to adjust towards what works best for both parties. We are a candle company that produces and sells handcrafted candles.

Position Overview:
As a Part-Time Bookkeeper and Marketing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records and implementing marketing strategies to engage our audience and attract new clients. This is a multifaceted role that requires proficiency in bookkeeping software, social media marketing, customer service, and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities:

Manage monthly bookkeeping tasks using software such as QuickBooks
Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and expenses
Coordinate and execute email campaigns, social media posts, and other marketing initiatives to engage our audience
Handle customer communications and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
Conduct outreach activities to attract new clients and opportunities for business growth
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies
Assist in basic graphic design tasks as needed
Other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the company

Your main day-to-day duties are marketing and customer service. Bookkeeping duties will need to be performed monthly.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in bookkeeping processes and proficiency with bookkeeping software, particularly QuickBooks
Strong background in social media marketing and content creation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Customer service experience with a focus on delivering exceptional service
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Motivated and innovative mindset with a passion for business growth
Basic graphic design skills are preferred
Experience in email outreach and lead generation is a plus
