We are currently seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team and work closely with one of our esteemed clients in the Construction Industry located in Australia.
The primary responsibilities of this role will include managing accounts, handling day-to-day transactions for weekly reports, bank reconciliations, and overseeing HR payroll tasks such as salaries/wages, superannuation, taxation, and more.
To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must have previous experience working within an Australian company and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Australian taxation regulations, and in-depth knowledge of XERO accounting software. The successful candidate will need to be highly organized, dependable, and capable of working independently. Managing multiple tasks and accounts simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial information are all essential aspects of this role.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Handling day-to-day financial transactions for weekly and monthly reports.
End to end bookkeeping cycle
Bank Reconciliations and End of day reconciliations.
Profit & Loss Forecasting
Managing HR payroll tasks such as salaries/wages, superannuation, taxation, and more.
Processing accounts receivable and payable.
Invoicing and processing of billing and payments
Collaborating with an accountant when necessary.
Financial Reporting: Create basic reports summarizing income, expenses, and profits.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide insights to management for making informed business decisions.
Tax Preparation: Gather records and file taxes accurately and on time.
Fulfilling any other ad hoc tasks required by the role.
Education And Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
With a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting.
Proficient with XERO accounting software
Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
Able to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Amenable in working part-time.
Can start immediately.
