At Botanopia, we sell plant accessories and products for plant lovers, through our WooCommerce online shop and through marketplaces. We’re expanding, and we’re looking for a new long-term assistant to join our team. Our headquarters are in the Netherlands, Europe, and we have a branch in the USA as well. *Who we’re looking for:*

We’re looking for an assistant with excellent administration skills and an eye for detail. You have proven previous experience with bookkeeping for WooCommerce shops and e-commerce in general. You have an affinity for numbers and work accurately and securely.
Experience with Quickbooks is a plus. We’re open to a part time or full time position.

The 3 qualities you need to be successful in this role are: Integrity, commitment, desire to learn.

Integrity: you are open and honest in your communication with your colleagues and the customers. If you’re struggling with a task or made a mistake, be upfront about it. We all make mistakes but I can’t help you fix it, if i don’t know about it.

Commitment: We’re looking for a long term work relationship. If you’re only looking for a few months of work, this is not for you.

Desire to learn: We are a small team, but growing fast. We want people who are open to learning new skills and taking on new projects. If you’re not excited about improving your skills and trying out new tasks, this is not for you.

*What you’ll be doing:*

In your role as bookkeeping assistant, the CEO will rely on you for administrative of support. Thanks to you, our records are accurate, payments are booked properly, and the ecommerce back-office runs smoothly.

Here’s an overview of the most relevant recurring tasks you’ll be working on at Botanopia.

-Financial administration: Upload invoices and expenses in our accounting software. Reconcile our transactions with invoices (Quickbooks)

-Evaluate stock levels and alert me in time for restocks + avoid overstocking.

-Keep an eye on the work of our 3PL’s (3rd Party Logistics). Identify when orders are being sent too late or other issues. File claims for fulfilment issues, keep track of the refunds/credits for the claims.

If you’re looking for a full-time position, in addition to these tasks, you would be assisting our Executive Assistant with order management, customer support and other day to day activities as needed.
