Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records of our marketing agency clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. The Bookkeeper will preferably have experience with Xero and will have worked in a similar role for at least 3 years. The hours of work would be in line with full time UK working hours between 8am – 4pm (GMT).
Responsibilities:
– Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple marketing agency clients.
– Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
– Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
– Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
– Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
– Collaborate with colleagues to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
– Additional duties may be assigned based on the candidate’s skills and experience.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– CPA certification preferred.
– Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role for 3 years +.
– Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
– Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
– Experience working with marketing agencies or similar (professional service) clients is a plus.
