Job Description

We are a short-term rental property management company on the East Coast seeking a full-time bookkeeper. We manage around 50 luxury properties for short-term rentals, and we need someone to help us with Accounting and keeping up our QuickBooks Online (QBO) and provide management with financial analytics and dashboards on a recurring basis to help the business thrive.

This role is full-time only. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work some of their hours during the US Central Standard Time Zone (CST) to meet with the team, while most of their other hours can be worked whenever they wish.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Experience in QBO:

– Categorizing and matching transactions daily in the banking section.
– Creating invoices, sales receipts, credit memos, expenses, and bills in QBO.
– Accurately using Locations, Classes, and Tags in QBO for better reporting.
– Creating Journal Entries for things like payroll, depreciation, amortization, etc.
– Monthly reconciliations to Bank Statement to ensure accuracy.
– Strong proficiency creating financial models in Excel and Google Sheets.

Additional Preferred Experience:

– Experience with is a plus.
– Experience with property management companies and/or doing bookkeeping for short-term rental companies.
– Experience with trust accounting (e.g., managing a trust account where money is held before being earned and then moved to a separate account when earned).
– Experience with bookkeeping for Airbnb, VRBO, or similar platforms.

Other Requirements:

– Great written and spoken English.
– Timely and professional email etiquette.
– High-speed internet and reliable computer.
– Professional camera & microphone.
– A quiet space to have confidential and professional conversations with management.

Compensation

The position will include a three-month training and onboarding period, which will be compensated at $7 per hour for the first three months given your experience. After this period, compensation will increase to $8.5 USD per hour for the next nine months of working under the current management to advance in their role (more time if needed). After a year of working with our company, compensation will increase to $10 to $12 per hour USD, with annual promotions and raises to follow, and can be higher given your level of success in the position.

We will also reimburse your PhilHealth and SSS self-payments on a monthly basis.

Over the next 3 – 7 years, this individual would progress in their role earning higher compensation ranging from $30,000 USD ($1.7M Philippine pesos) to $40,000 USD ($2.25M Philippine pesos) annually.
