Job Description

We are a small real estate investment company looking for a part-time bookkeeper for one QBD file and one QBO file.
As a Part-Time Experienced Real Estate Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our real estate transactions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your expertise in QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) and QuickBooks Online (QBO) will be crucial in this role, as you will work extensively with these accounting software platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Reserve and Escrow Accounts: Maintain and reconcile reserve and escrow accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

Financial Records: Record and categorize financial transactions related to real estate operations accurately and in a timely manner.

Reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for and resolved.

QuickBooks Expertise: Utilize QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) and QuickBooks Online (QBO) to manage financial data and generate reports.

Class Tracking: Proficiently work with classes in QuickBooks to categorize transactions by property, project, or other relevant classifications.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports to management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.

Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Real Estate Bookkeeper, preferably in a similar role.
Strong knowledge and understanding of reserve accounts, escrow accounts, and real estate financial operations.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Experience with class tracking in QuickBooks.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Prior experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
Working Hours:

This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. You will be expected to work approximately 4 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours based on business needs.
