JOB DESCRIPTION

WHO IS COSY HAUZ

Cosy Hauz is a relatively new and dynamic property development company based in the U.K. headquartered in South West London.

From very humble beginnings, we are now a multi-million-pound, award-winning company. Much of our success has been due to our innovative and market-leading utilisation of Virtual Assistants based in The Philippines.

We believe that we work with our Filipino colleagues in an integrated and mutually beneficial way, and our CEO recently visited The Philippines to meet our team face-to-face. In addition, we heavily invest in training our VAs to ensure that they remain current with their skills and understand the industry we work in and the dynamics of Cosy Hauz.

THE ROLE

We are looking to bring on board a new member of our team.

The role will be full-time and split 50/50 between the Personal Assistant (PA) to the CEO and the Bookkeeper.

Personal assistant to our CEO (50% of your time)

Job Description:
proactive and reactive diary management for our CEO
assist our CEO with both her professional and personal admin tasks
help our CEO actively manage and prioritise her work
scheduling team meetings and team-building activities for the wider team
dealing with professionals on behalf of our CEO i.e., broker, lawyer, etc.
to openly communicate with other team members and departments such as developments, serviced accommodation, finance, and marketing if some details and documents are needed to fulfil his/her tasks

Skills required
extremely organised and ensure that the priorities of the CEO are being met in a constantly changing environment – Our CEO is an extremely organised person. As her PA, who will help organise both her work and personal life, you also need to be very organised and adept at prioritisation. This is the most important quality we seek. excellent written and spoken English
good interpersonal and communication skills
required to have an excellent telephone etiquette
have a growth mindset and are always happy to learn new skills

Experience required
More than three years of experience as a PA in previous employment and references may be obtained.
You will be proficient in Google suite, Microsoft WORD, and EXCEL
Prior experience working virtually is required. Ideally, you will have previously worked for a U.K.-based company, and it would be nice but not essential if you worked in the property development environment.

Bookkeeper (50% of your time)

This job role requires someone who has the following skills:

Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills, along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred

Job Description:

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
Bring the books to the trial balance stage
Perform partial checks of the posting process
Managing the Uploads of supporting evidence for all transactions entered
Performs bank reconciliations for all client bank accounts
Managing the preparation of payroll
Complete tax forms
Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts with the main general ledger account
Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg, HMRC integrated client account, liaise with a local accountant)
Preparing weekly payment list.

WORK HOURS AND BENEFITS

This is a full-time role; you will be expected to work 40 hours per week.

Your working day will be aligned to the U.K. working day, and you will be expected to work from 8am U.K. time until 5pm U.K. time while on training, which may be changed depending on the needs of Serviced Accommodation needs.

Starting rate will be between £400 to £500.00 per month, depending on your experience, and all VAs are eligible for a salary review every year!
