We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper with an accounting background who specializes in receipt tracking. As a Receipt Tracking Specialist, you will play a crucial role in efficiently managing our project costs by meticulously tracking receipts, matching expenses against projects, and creating comprehensive reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, preferably with experience in accounts payable (AP) and project costing. A background in the construction industry is highly preferred, as it involves managing costs for multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately track receipts and expenses associated with various projects. Match costs to specific projects to ensure precise cost allocation and effective budget management.
• Review bills and invoices from vendors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and validity. Resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Proactively search for receipts and expense documentation on various platforms, such as emails, online portals, and physical copies. Organize and maintain a systematic record of receipts.
• Input financial data into the accounting system accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Collaborate with the AP team to ensure smooth processing of payments, reconciliations, and vendor management.
• Create comprehensive reports on project costs, expenses, and budget variances. Present data in a clear and organized manner to aid decision-making processes.
• Conduct regular cost analyses to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Utilize your knowledge of the construction industry to understand the unique financial aspects and complexities involved in managing project costs.
• Assist in financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline receipt tracking and cost management processes. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a focus on receipt tracking and project costing.
• Strong background in accounting principles, financial data analysis, and bookkeeping practices.
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and vendor management.
• Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools to manage financial data.
• Must have experience in construction project costing
